An important article on the growing rift in the orthodox community. Unless the Agudah can pull back from the brink we are headed into a multipolar Orthodox world. This is not necessarily a bad thing, if you are a student of history you will know that the pre-war Orthodox world was much more nuanced than its subsequent American version.

The only issue that the Agudah seems concerned and passionate about since 10/7 is the issue of drafting Yeshiva bachurim
Your uncle’s letter deserves a wider circulation One can argue that the optics of the Agudah and its communities since the outbreak of the war have been on maintaining “life as normal” with saying Tehilim but with no missions led by Roshei Yeshiva and Admorim to do Chesed on the ground such as Bikur Cholim
Nichum Aveilim and Chizuk for the IDF . A Yarchei Kallah in Israel with zero Chesed opportunities speaks volumes as to optics
